Zero Tolerance to Abuse

Our staff have the right to be treated with dignity and respect whilst at work, the right to work in safe conditions, not to be threatened or subject to inappropriate or offensive language and not to be discriminated against.

York City FC is committed to;

  • creating a culture where all staff are treated appropriately

  • providing a working environment which is free from harassment, intimidation, bullying or victimisation and

  • supporting and encouraging our staff to raise concerns when issues arise

Any abuse or threatening behaviour to our staff; be that in person, via email, or via social media will not be tolerated. Perpetrators of such behaviour will be banned from making any subsequent purchases either in store or online, and the club reserves the right to prosecute such individuals should it deem it necessary. 

Delivery

 

UK Delivery - The club only offers a blanket tracked Royal Mail delivery at a cost of £4.99. Please allow 5 - 10 working days for delivery. You will receive an email when your order has been dispatched.

Working days are classed as the first working day after the order was placed. For example, if an order were place on Friday, then Monday would be the first working day.

International Delivery - The club offers two types of international delivery, Europe (at a cost of £14.99) and Rest Of World (at a cost of £21.99). You will receive an email when you order has been dispatched.  

Due to current customs restrictions, we are unable to ship any items to the Russian Federation until further notice.

'Delivery' covers the costs to process, package and send products. 

As you checkout, you will be provided with the available options.

Some bulk/fragile items are unable to be sent, therefore will require collection.

Refunds & Exchanges

Retail Refunds

You may return any item within 28 days of receiving the item in the original condition for a full refund, or, exchange exchange to an alternative item(s) of the same value. You must tell us if you want to cancel in writing by letter or email within a period of 28 days with your order reference.

If you request a refund within the 28-day period, we will make the refund without any undue delay and not later than 7 days after we receive back from you any goods supplied. The customer is liable for all delivery costs incurred, unless in the event of damaged goods.

Please note, for your protection, we recommend that you use a recorded delivery service, as we cannot be held responsible for goods not received.

We may make a deduction from the refund for loss in value of any goods supplied if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.

If you require an exchange on any item we will be happy to process this for you.

There may be instances when we are unable to offer an exchange, for example where we are selling limited edition items or pre-ordered shirts. In this instance, we will only be able to offer a full refund.

Ticketing & Event Refunds

Cancelling your order - York City Football Club reserves the right to dispute a request for refund, depending on the nature or timing of the refund. Any request for a full refund should be made no later than 48 hours prior to the event start time, as at this point attendance numbers are finalised with relevant security and stadium teams. For a ticket(s) that include a catered option, a refund must be requested no later than 72 hours prior to the event – after this point the catered element of the ticket is non-refundable.

To cancel your order, with sufficient time, please email hospitality@yorkcityfootballclub.co.uk with your order reference number. Refunds can take 3-5 working days to process.

Refunds after the event – complaints must be made to hospitality@yorkcityfootballclub.co.uk within 48 hours. Depending on the nature of the complaint, the club may require time to speak with any party relevant to the complaint, i.e. club staff, ticketing staff, catering, to review and process accordingly. Issues with catering should be raised with a member of the catering staff at the event in first instance, and the refund may be disputed if no complaint is made on the day.

 

Secure Shopping

Safe shopping is important so we have gone to great lengths to make sure your details remain safe. When shopping with the York City FC Store, you can be confident that your payment details and personal information will be safe.

The site is run through Shopify which provides a PCI compliant shopping cart and hosting solution. The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) is an information security standard for organizations that handle credit card and debit card information. Shopify meets all 6 categories of PCI standards:

  • Maintaining a Secure Network
  • Protecting Cardholder Data
  • Maintaining a Vulnerability Management Program
  • Implementing Strong Access Control
  • Regularly Monitoring and Testing Networks
  • Maintaining an Information Security Policy

If you receive any e-mails from the York City FC Store that you believe may be fraudulent, please contact the clubs Commercial Manager, Liam Armstrong, immediately via commercial@yorkcityfootballclub.co.uk.

Stock & Availability

Whilst every effort is taken to ensure all items in the store are always in stock, on occasions some items will be temporarily out of supply. If you have placed an order for an item and for any reason the item is no longer in stock, you will be contacted and the order will be fully refunded.

Information found via social media, or other unofficial sources, are not an accurate reflection of stock or our product portfolio. Please be mindful that non-official sellers of York City branded merchandise hold no connection to the club officially, and as such the club holds no responsibility for the quality of their goods or service. The clubs only official retail partner is PUMA.
